Terms and cancellation
Plain-language terms for every charter with Blue Isle Charters. They're short on purpose; if anything is unclear, ask us before you pay a deposit.

Booking and confirmation
A booking is confirmed when we have checked availability and received your deposit. Until then, dates are not held. We confirm by email and WhatsApp, and send the meeting point and time with the confirmation.
Deposit and balance
Every charter is reserved with a deposit; the amount is shown on each boat's page. The deposit covers the reservation and administration and is paid by Revolut, credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Wise or PayPal, using the details we email you.
The remaining balance is paid directly to the captain on the day, before departure. Prices are for the whole boat for the stated duration and include the captain, fuel, cleaning and the items listed under "What's included" on the boat's page. Food and drink orders from our menu are paid either with the deposit or to the captain on the day; we'll confirm which when you book.
Cancellation
The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel or don't show. It covers the reservation and administration costs of holding the boat for you.
If you'd like to change the date, tell us as early as you can. We'll move the booking where the captain's availability allows, at no charge, but we can't guarantee a new date in peak season.
Weather
The captain decides whether it's safe to sail, and that decision is final. If your charter is cancelled because of bad weather, you choose between a full refund of the deposit and a new date. Where conditions allow, the captain may suggest a change of route instead, for example the sheltered north coast rather than Comino.
On the day
- Charters run to the booked times, so a late arrival shortens your trip rather than extending it.
- The number of guests may not exceed the capacity shown for the boat, which is set by its licence. Children count as guests.
- You're welcome to bring your own food and drinks. Please treat the boat as you'd want to find it; excessive mess or damage may be charged at cost.
- Life jackets are provided for everyone on board and must be worn when the captain asks. Please follow the safety briefing and the captain's instructions at all times.
- Swimming and snorkelling are at your own risk and only where the captain says it's safe.
- Blue Isle Charters and the captain are not responsible for personal belongings, so keep phones and valuables in a dry bag.
Who you're booking with
Blue Isle Charters arranges the booking and is your point of contact throughout. The charter itself is operated by the licensed captain and boat named in your confirmation.
